We will gather for worship to celebrate the ministry of Dr.
Herb Knudsen this Sunday, Oct. 21, 3pm, at First Christian Church,
Bloomington, IL. A reception for Dr. & Mrs. Knudsen will
follow to give opportunity for words of farewell and best wishes for
their new ministry at National Ave. Christian Church, Springfield,
MO.

and Conversation with Regional Staff remain open to you:

A Transition Team will be developing a plan for continuing
Regional Ministry. Donna Martin, Vice- Moderator of the Regional
Board, will Chair the Transition Team. The Team will bring a
plan for Regional Ministry to the Regional Assembly in November,
2008. We hope for your prayers and support during this time.
2. October is Month of the
Ministry Celebrate Ministry in your
congregation! Resource materials developed by the Pension Fund

3. Youth Summit-Nov. 16-18 Registration
Deadline extended to Oct. 25th.For event and housing
registration forms, go to: http://www.cciwdi
sciples.org/ Mail your Registration forms with payment to the
Regional Office. Make housing registrations with the Decatur
Conference Center & Hotel by Oct. 17th -mention the Group name
for special room rate.
4. Healthy Congregations Facilitators
Training Training will be offered on 5 consecutive
Mondays beginning Oct. 22 at the office of Norma Roberts, 200 W
Monroe St., Ste 300 #20, Bloomington, IL. Please call Norma at (309)

5. New Minister Orientation New Minister
Orientation-Nov. 8, 10AM-3 PM at the Regional Office, 1011 N. Main
St., Bloomington, IL.
6. New Workshop at Grace Institute New
Workshop for Clergy at Grace Institute- Living a Life Worthy of
Your Calling-Nov. 9.What to do and not do to be a more
effective pastor. Save with early registration until October 26. For
