I am writing on behalf of the worship planning committee for
Summit 2007. We are looking forward to a great time in Decatur and
hope that you are, also!
As a part of our worship experience, we will be sharing at the
Lord's Table during worship. We need your help. We are asking
each group that is participating at Summit to bring a loaf of bread
that will be used for communion. We hope that the bread is home
baked using white or whole wheat flour. It can be any shape but
needs to be left whole, NOT SLICED. The bread will be colleccted and
taken to the communion table as a part of the Friday night
worship.
Christ invites us all to the table. By bringing your loaf of
bread to be shared by others we symbolize our desire to partnership
with Christ in the giving of ourselves for others.
