Why a Capital Campaign?   It's part of God's call for us!

Cooperative ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Illinois & Wisconsin formally began in 1850.  Previous generations have made the church a gift to us.  Future generations are depending on us to make sure the church will be there for them, to serve them and to meet their spiritual needs.
Our campaign shares great vision, hope and spirit.  Already, members have responded with tremendous enthusiasm to the ideas.  The needs addressed in the campaign have been carefully considered.

Our primary goal in the campaign is to help churches have a clearer, more compelling direction for ministry.  It is our prayer that members and friends will be drawn to these ministries and bring their spiritual gifts of skills, energy and financial resources.  These new opportunities for sharing gifts will strengthen the local church and beyond.

Our mission in the Christian Church in Illinois & Wisconsin is to nourish and plant Disciples congregations for healthy ministry.      We offer assistance to the local church in turning dreams into reality - helping congregations in visioning and planning to address the questions "What is God calling us to do?"  and  "What spiritual gifts & financial resources do we need to be faithful to God's call?"

And, we offer consulting services for a congregation in conducting a combined local and Regional capital campaign.  New funds are needed at the local level to fulfill God's call, as well as the call to ministries beyond the local church.
