Gifts For All Generations

A 3-year Capital Campaign

seeking over and above gifts

in Illinois & Wisconsin

Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

As the people of God, we have been so richly blessed by all who have come before us and established our congregations. Now, it's our chance not only to give back but to "give forward" to the coming generations. We can do that by joining with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Illinois & Wisconsin in a 3-year capital campaign to raise $2,250,000 to benefit a variety of "units" within the life of our denomination and our CCIW Region.

STARTING NEW CHURCHES
$1,006,000

God calls us to new life. As the population in our Region changes and grows, we as Disciples of Christ are called to start new congregations. Our New Church Establishment Committee will use $900,000 to help begin 3-5 new churches in the next 10 years. All of the new church models require the spiritual and financial support of the whole Region.
Faith Alive

Several years ago, Rev. Dr. Randy Williams, former pastor at Centennial Christian Church, Bloomington, felt called by God to become a pastor-developer of a new church start. It has taken many years of prayer and hard work, but the endeavor is now blossoming into a new and exciting venture. The focus of FaithAlive is to the unchurched young adults in their 20's and 30's and is located in Peoria, IL. This new program is committed to doing whatever it takes to reach this generation for Jesus Christ.

Here's how the small group experience works. Randy and his wife, Linda, host small "Alive Groups" in their home to build community. These weekly groups include Bible study, a shared meal, accountability, worship with offering and communion. Mission Opportunities are often stressed. An apprentice is groomed who will take over a new group in 3-6 months. Each month, every group comes together for celebrations and worship. Presently, there is one group meeting weekly with another group scheduled to begin soon.
