The 2011-2012 CCIW Disciples Women's Cabinet members were elected at the Women's Luncheon at the CCIW Regional Assembly, Sat., Nov. 13, 2010.   Click here for the Slate of Members.

There are two choices of study materials for Disciples Women this coming year:  Just Women Magazine or New Day for Christians.

Just Women Magazine is published by the International Disciples Women Ministries (IDWM).  You may purchase it as an annual subscription for 4 issues - one each quarter.  The Winter, Summer, and Fall issues are set up for three sessions that you can use for three monthly meetings.  The Spring issue is a Bible study that is set up for 9 sessions - you can use three sesions for your monthly meetings and the other six sessions as a weekly Bible study during church school hour or whatever you choose.  Click here for an Order blank for the Just Women magazine.

New Day for Christians, With You Always, is published by Christian Board of Publication (Chalice Press) and is similar to the New Day materials that you have used the last several years, except that they are now for all small groups (men and women).  Christian Board and Global Ministries are working together to produce these materials with a mission emphasis.  You can purchase the new 2011-2012  materials from the Chalice Press website at:  http://www.chalicepress.com/New-Day-C133.aspx - scroll to the bottom of the page for the new 2011-2012 magazine & study guide. 

General Programs are available from the Office of Disciples Women website: www.discipleswomen.org Click on "General Programs" on the left side of the screen;  then scroll through the listing of General Programs for the ones you want.  You may print these free from the website.

The General Programs are being developed on a calendar year basis rather than a study year basis.  Therefore, you should look for the programs for Fall of 2010 and Spring of 2011.  The 2011 Easter and Installation and Blessing Box Dedication Programs are now available.  The Mission Program to go with the Just Women mission for 2010-1011 is on the website.  The information for the mission study for the New Day for Christians is available in the Leader's Study Guide for New Day for Christians, available from the Chalice Press website.

Wisdom of Women - A new series of video interviews with Disciples Women from across the life of the church premiered at the 2010 Quadrennial Assembly. Touching on everything from how and when they heard a call on their lives to balancing wife, motherhood and career - nothing is off limits. Each interview will consist of 60 to 90 minutes of conversation and wisdom, edited into 13 short six to ten-minute segments. A study guide with questions for reflection and conversation after each segment will accompany each DVD. The cost of each interview session is $29.95.

The DVD and study guide are designed to be used by women in any type of gathering. They may use it in groups, viewing one or more segments each meeting followed by discussion. They are also a wonderful study opportunity to use at home for your personal growth. However you choose to use this new resource, your life will be enriched by hearing and reflecting on the Wisdom of Women.

Volume 1 - Nancy Heimer - Rev. Nancy Heimer, retired Program Director in the Department of Church Women (now renamed Office of Disciples Women) is the first interviewee in this new educational series. Hear her reflection on becoming a clergy woman in the 70s, the challenges of prioritizing and balancing motherhood, marriage and career, the challenges and gifts she encountered as she learned to deal with losing her eyesight, and so much more.
